Today we flew from Salt Lake City to San Francisco. The BART stop we got off at had neither a working elevator nor stairs, so we had to carry my huge bag up lots of steps. We walked around town. We ventured into a hippie grocery store, and then a farmer’s market. Then, met up with Narins’ friend Ariel, and her baby Juno. We went to a park and had barbecue for lunch. We went back to our hotel (Motel Capri) for a little rest, and then went out to Oakland. We walked through a street fair in order to get to the BART. In Oakland, we met up with Molly, another one of Narins’ friends, and went to Whole Foods. The three of us sat out in a park near a lake, and then went to a Korean restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious! Molly suggested that rather than taking the BART back into the city that we take the ferry, which was a phenomenal idea. Hardly anyone was on the boat, and Narins and I were the only passengers for most of the ride. The views were amazing. We conversed with a crew member named Joseph, who was very nice. Finally, we caught a cab, and the cabbie was named Shawnti. Her dog was names Miss Pinkie and was adorable. Today was a great start to this journey!
